We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child.

We’re currently accepting content which fits the Babiekins aesthetic and has not been published, posted, shared, or displayed elsewhere. Our team is looking for content that’s not only fresh, original, and trendsetting, but also speaks to our boundless belief in the wild magic of childhood.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for editorial submissions which showcase clear artistic and photographic talent, contain trendsetting (not just trendy) fashions, are styled in interesting and creative ways, and have a clearly-recognizable story woven throughout. The content should fit the Babiekins aesthetic and not have been published, posted, shared, or displayed elsewhere. We want content that’s fresh, original, and trendsetting!

COMPENSATION & TERMS
Babiekins Magazine does not currently pay for unsolicited submissions. Any expenses or costs are the responsibility of the contributor unless hired prior to the project by the Babiekins team. We also cannot guarantee that content submitted will be used on the blog, on social media, the website, digital or print formats.

BEFORE ACCEPTANCE
Any content you submit to Babiekins Magazine must NOT be published in any other magazine, blog, website, e-zine, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, other social media network, or anywhere else online for anyone to view. If you make your submission -- or any outtakes from your submission -- public at any point or in any form before we present the content online via any of our platforms, we reserve the right to pull the content from our platforms in its entirety without notice and without your consent.

SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS
While we do allow simultaneous submissions (i.e., you are permitted to submit this content to other publishing outlets at the same time you submit to Babiekins), you agree that your right to simultaneous submission is terminated at the point Babiekins accepts your content for publication on any of our platforms. Acknowledging our intent to publish your submitted content means that you agree you will pull any submissions of that content you may have outstanding with other publishing outlets, and you agree to no longer submit that content, or any outtakes from that content, to any other publication, media outlet, or platform of any kind. Once you receive our notice of intent to publish your submission, whether in our print, digital, or web platforms, you understand that form that point forward we retain exclusive publishing rights to that content. You agree you will not submit that content for publication elsewhere in any form.

AFTER PUBLICATION
After we have published your submitted content via the intended Babiekins platform -- congratulations! -- you are free to share the content via your personal web and social media platforms. As stated above, however, we do retain exclusive publishing rights and you understand that you are no longer free to submit any portion of the content, including outtakes, to other any other publishing outlets, including web- and digital-base platforms. If you have a specific request you feel should be an exception to this policy, please contact us directly and we will review on a case-by-case basis.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY
We will not tolerate any form of plagiarism or copying in whole or in part. If it is discovered that any part of your submission is not your original work, we reserve the right to pull the content from our platforms in its entirety without notice and without your consent. If it is discovered that any part of your submission has been published on a platform other than Babiekins following your receipt of Babiekins intent to publish, we reserve the right to pull the content from our platforms in its entirety without notice and without your consent.

READY, SET, SUBMIT!
If after reading familiarizing yourself with the Babiekins aesthetic you think your editorial would be a good fit, we invite you to submit content for consideration!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for craft / DIY submissions which have clear, easy-to-follow instructions. We prefer projects which call for supplies the average parent already has around the home, or projects which require minimal purchase of special supplies. Ideally, the Babiekins DIY is a craft a child or group of children would be excited about doing, rather than a craft an adult completes on the child's behalf. Seasonal or holiday-themed content is fun, but we love creativity and cultural celebrations, as well as the celebration of the everyday.

When thinking about what to submit, keep our favorite crafts in mind.

The content should fit the Babiekins aesthetic and not have been published, posted, shared, or displayed elsewhere. We're looking for content that’s fresh, original, and trendsetting!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for lighthearted non-fiction articles every parent can relate to, preferably ones with a funny twist. We are also looking for imaginative and clever fictional stories and story poems, like the kind you might read in a children's book. In the past, we've published childhood recollections, travel adventures, conversations about autism, adoption stories, and funny commentary on the everyday saga of parenting.  It's okay to tackle tough subjects, as long as it's done in an uplifting way. (We don't do mommy wars.) Like our mission statement says, "We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child."

When thinking about what to submit, keep our favorite articles in mind.

Written submissions should be short, around 400-1000 words, and not have been published, posted, shared, or displayed elsewhere. We're looking for content that’s fresh and original.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for artists and illustrators we can call when we need an illustration to accompany a story, craft, DIY, or activity in our magazine. We like spunky, energetic art of all mediums -- illustrations that tell a story, appeal to children's imaginations, and aren't stuffy. Here are a few of our favorite illustrated pieces. Want to be added to the list of our illustrator BFFs? Submit a sample of your work, and if we have a story that needs an artist's magic touch, we'll know who to call!
